Day 216

Today in history.

Today is the one year anniversary of Chris Zilly becoming a "Social-Capitalist". Huzzahs are in order.

Day 197

Halo 3: ODST.

It's fucking amazing. Second game ever to exceed my expectations... at least from what little I have played so far.

Don't feel up to making a huge post right now, so I'll get back to it later after I've played more of the game.

Anyway, it's awesome.

And ya... I guess it is one of those sort of "infinite lives", "infinite continues" sorta thing, but the campaign mode isn't really where the skill comes in. The Co-Op firefight mode is where the fun and skill comes in. The campaign mode is just the validation for the series finally coming around after all these years. It is also very fun to play. I don't know what it is they did this round, but they did it right. Having real, talking characters with faces, and a real plot helps though.

Day 193

Today's topic in my life without Chris Zilly is idiocy and ignorance in the mainstream video gaming community.
Example follows:
Kids these days
Click that image to see the whole damn thing.

This image is of a review on Gamestop's page for "Resident Evil: Archives - Resident Evil", the re-release of the Gamecube remake of the classic 1996 Capcom title "Resident Evil".

What makes this so depressing should be evident to any -real- "HUGE fan of the RE series".

Kids these days have no idea what their ancestry is, and that makes me sad.

It is the modern 'save anywhere' 'auto save' 'auto fire' 'auto target' 'infinite continue' and 'perpetual easy mode' "gamers" of today who have given the industry a free pass to just shill out this 'hand held stroll through the park' bull shit that is the standard for today's video gaming community. Today's "hard mode" is the equivalent of what the sum total of a game used to be when I was growing up.

However, I digress. The direct point of this rant is to address the issue of this "HUGE fan of the RE series" complaining about how he dislikes 5/7 of the damn series.
(5/8 if you wish to count Survivor, which seems to be the only of the spin-off titles so far to contain original content and is seemingly canon)

It seems obvious that those complaining about the classic "3D Control" scheme of the old school ORIGINAL Resident Evil series are missing the damn point.

Resident Evil is not what it used to be. It is not what it was originally conceived to be: Survival Horror. Today, Resident Evil is simply a romp through the action genre. Now, don't get me wrong. I love Resident Evil 4 and 5. In fact, Resident Evil 4 was the first game ever to exceed my expectations. But to call oneself a "HUGE fan of the RE series" and then to dismiss the games that started the whole thing, and not to mention the majority of the series (discounting the rail shooter spin offs) because of a choice of control mechanics is fucking outrageous.

Now, to those who missed the mother-fucking, god-damn point of the classic Resident Evil control scheme, here it is: The classic Resident Evil control scheme was put in place to allow for seamless and uninterrupted control through rapid changes in static camera positioning. The camera angles were chosen to convey a sense that one is watching a horror movie. The changes in camera angles could be so drastic, -such as going from a position behind the player to one suddenly on the opposite end of a hall, facing the approaching player, and inverted- that it required such a control scheme. The control scheme being as it is, allows for motion to continue uninterrupted during these shifts, and as such prevents disorientation.

Later in the post pictured, the poster declares that "It's a stupid game". Wow... Really? You are dismissing the entire game because you are unable to appreciate the control scheme? He later decides that "The only people [who] would like this game [are] some of[ ]video games first players" and "Anyone [who] plays games later than the 2000's would not like this game". Let's explore the absurdity of this claim. I will ignore the "2000's" issue, and assume he meant anything later than the year 2000. He claims that nobody who plays games beyond the year 2000 would like this game. I can refute this statement simply by stating that the game was released in 2002. Please note that I am referring to the Game Cube remake of Resident Evil, and not the Playstation original, released in 1996. Now to claim that anybody who plays games later than the year 2000 would not like this game is false simply in that respect, as anyone who has played this game logically must have played it after the year 2000. I enjoyed the Resident Evil GCN remake thoroughly.

Now let us assume that he simply has no idea how to express his thoughts, and he actually meant something along these lines: "Nobody who started playing games after the year 2000 would enjoy this game". Based on this sentence, he is only speculating. Since I do not know anybody who only started playing games after the year 2000, I can not refute his claim by pointing out a case where he is incorrect. However, he can not back up his claim unless he accounts for every single person to have started playing games after the year 2000.

Now... I could sit here all day refuting this guy's arguments against a wonderful classic remade, but you know... it's easier to just call this guy an idiot.

I will simply leave it at this: If you do not understand the history of something, then it is not right for you to claim such knowledge. To base your love of a series solely on the most recent samples available, and then to try to represent the series as a whole is very intellectually dishonest, ignorant, and douchey. Don't fucking do it. If you enjoy the Rail Shooters, or the new 'action' based style of the series, then represent your opinion as such. DO NOT, however, disregard such a wonderful game, and by proxy, all other magnificent games in the series which share its properties simply because you are too ignorant to understand the history of the series.

MrBloodBathMan, you should be ashamed of yourself for your short mindedness and personal ignorance. Please stop claiming to be a fan of this series, as by your own words and lack of information, you are not.

Update: I suppose I should take solace in the fact that 23 people other than myself found it reasonable to rate his review as poor. I can only hope that they did so as an attempt to draw potential buyers away from the ignorance and idiocy which the reviewer displayed.

If you are interested in finding more information about the series, then I urge you to visit the Resident Evil Wiki.

Day 188 or "Happy Birthday?"

It has been 60 days since my last post, just as planned!

This post is going to be a strange apart from every other post in this blog, as it actually has to do with my life WITH Chris Zilly... sorta... I guess. You're just going to have to take my word on that and let's run with it!

The other day I received a birthday present from Chris Zilly which was like 1.5 months late, but really who cares? It's so awesome anyway that it could have been exactly one year late and I would have been able to accept it as a b-day thing!

Anyway, here are some pics of it. So damn awesome that it seemed to sparkle every time I tried to take a picture, somewhat obstructing the view. Wonder how that was happening...

Pretty right?

On a side note, for any Chris Zilly who might be out there watching, and by "watching" I mean watching these letters on the screen:

Day 128

I'm so bored. I used to be able to wake up and head down the street to Chris Zilly's house at like 9 am and bother everybody while they were still asleep. Now I head over there every day to feed his dog and have to suffer the fact that house is now a hollow shell of what it once was.

I hate this.

Day 114

Goodbye, bones. I will miss you when you are gone.

Alas, the government is coming to take you away.

You see, over 21,000 people die each year of Leukemia. And that's only in the U.S.!

It is the government's job to protect us from dangerous things, and with so many deaths each year from this horrible blood disease, it only makes sense that we can prevent these deaths by taking everybody's bones away.

While I am on the subject, I wish to introduce you all to a plan of mine.

I am prepared, with your help, to petition that the government block out the sun.

You see, in the U.S. alone, over 7000 people die each year from melanoma. These deaths can be easily prevented if we block out the sun! I urge you all to leave comments to this post if you support this plan. We must save these lives! The sun must not be allowed to kill any longer.

If this plan is successful then I plan to later petition to outlaw cars. With so many deaths in automobile accidents it is extremely urgent that we outlaw cars. I sincerely hope that everybody who reads this agrees.

Alcohol is also at issue, however were we to remove automobiles much of the issue would be eliminated! Also, without any NyQuil to help me get my Zs, I will be needing liquor to fill the gap.

Also, considering how big an economy cigarettes are, it is not wise that the government try to remove them from circulation. Though they cause more deaths each year than anything that I have listed above, at 440,000 a year, or 36,666 a month, it would be detrimental to our way of life should they become illegal. Besides, it is not the government's place to tell us that we can not put such a substance in to our bodies.

I think.

Anyway. I hope for positive responses, and much support for my petition to end these needless deaths from cars and sunlight and bones!

GOOD DAY!

Update!
THE GOVERNMENT HAS THE RIGHT IDEA! BEHOLD!

Day 101

So I was considering making a post yesterday, being the one hundredth day since Chris Zilly left. I ultimately decided that was pointless, as the 100th day is not really all that special.

The one hundred and first day, however, is something else all together.
This day is the beginning of the new set. It's like day 1 all over again, except it has 2 digits in front of it. How awesome is that?

Well, here's to the beginning of the second hundred days that Chris Zilly has been gone.

Monday, June 15, 2009

Days 96-99

Up to seas... series 4 of Dr. Who. Damn you brits.

Chris Zilly's dog continues to require food on a daily basis. He also needs to be brushed. He has gone from being a black dog to a sort of gray one.

Thursday, June 11, 2009

Days 90-95

Star Trek: The Next Generation.

All of it.

Friday, June 5, 2009

Days 87-89

This update actually happened across these 3 days.

I finally finished Scrubs seasons 7 and 8. It was good, but now I'm very sad.

I suppose its time to start watching it again from season 1 to stave off the depression. That or Star Trek: The Next Generation. Both good options.

Update: My cat is staring at me in an odd way. One of her eyes is half squinted, but it makes it just look like the other eye is cocked and she has that sorta "What the fuck are you doing?" look. It is very unnerving.

Days 84-86

Update on my life without Chris Zilly!

The looting continues!

In the absence of Chris Zilly, I, your humble correspondent have obtained that which was previously unobtainable: The computer chair of Chris Zilly.

LOOK AT MY CHAIR!

As you can see, this chair which once adorned the fortress lair of the now missing overlord Zilly is now in my possession.

I also took the cloths hamper. Deal with it!

Saturday, May 30, 2009

Days 73 to 83, im pretty sure.

Well... it's been a while since I have updated this thing again, and again there is not a whole lot to update.

Santos came over recently and stayed at Chris Zilly's house. We ate a few boxes of Chris' potatoes. Also some chicken that has been in the freezer since he left.

The thought of Chris Zilly leaving 4 boxes of scalloped potatoes and a package of chicken tenders uneaten has shifted my concept of reality.

On a side note: Fragile has been picked up for U.S. Release. Fuckin' sweet.

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Days 54-72... I think.

There has not been very much to report in my ongoing life without Chris Zilly. The redoing of the Gundam Mk.II model is coming along, but damn are there more parts than I had expected initially.

Santos is at Chris Zilly's old house right now doing stuff and junk. He is likely still asleep. Whatever. I'm probably going to go there and help him do said stuff and junk in a bit, then take the pressure washer to clean some shit.

Chris Zilly's upstairs lair is a sad, depressing sight to behold these days. Lacking all the character given by that which adorned its walls, and devoid of all life, it is now a hollow shell of its former glory.

P.S. I'm taking the desk chair. It's way better than the chair I'm using at home.

Well, that's it for now. I'll probably post some pics of the Gundam's restoration soon. Need to find my camera.

Thursday, April 30, 2009

Day 53

And so it continues...

Many moons ago, during my life with Chris Zilly, another person by the name of Phillip Cooper left a certain item in my protection. Now is the time that it becomes awesome.

There is only one problem: The long list of problems that comes with this project.

First, as seen in the picture from yesterday, there is much flash left to clean up. He built this model without much care for the looks of it. Can't say I blame him, as he is not really largely in to building these guys. It can be quite a task to clean up the parts properly, and when all you have is a nail file, it can prove quite bothersome.

The next glaring issue is that this model was designed to have the armor removed, exposing the frame underneath. The problem this poses is that I will simply have more work to do in prettying this guy up.

Arms
Here is a look at some of the frame hidden under the armor plating on the arms.

Legs
Here you can take a look at the legs below the armor plating.

All in all, I don't think this will be too big an issue. It will just take some time.
And since my new life without Chris Zilly began, I have had a lot of that on hand.

LOOK AT MY CAR!

Wednesday, April 29, 2009

Days 41-52

Its been a while since my last post. Since I returned home I have had very little to do. I did do some stuff in my room which are pretty awesome, including the addition of a book shelf I received from Nancy over a year ago.

gundam

And so it begins.

Days 39 and 40

I have been at my grandfather's house for the past few days after returning from Hawaii. It's not so bad, because the food is good and I don't really have to do anything.

Not having to do anything, however, does not mean that I am not expected to do things. For instance mowing the lawn. Not really a big deal. In fact it was quite easy and quick. The only real issue with being here is that it isn't Hawaii. Oh well, however. What can I do?

Networking fucking SUCKS! It seems as though things are likely to not work even when every step is performed flawlessly. Port forwarding, for instance. I guess it might be a hardware thing. I am trying to help some friends of mine forward the proper ports to their Xbox350+10, but it seems to not be working. I think maybe they care less than I do. I just really want to figure out why this isn't working. @_@ Damn you, Belkin! Damn you to hell!

Oh well, things haven't been so eventful since I left Hawaii. I suppose stuff wasn't so eventful while I was in Hawaii either. Oh well. That's that I suppose.

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

Days 36-38

I'm back in Alabama now. Will probably be back in Tennessee in a day or so. Only been back for around an hour or two and I'm already bored out of my mind.

I want to go back to Hawaii.

"Days 27 - 35... I think" or "Fun without Chris Zilly"

Uncle Damian's Corncob pipe! It has been some time since my last post.
However! Due to popular demand
populardemand
We are back. Oh, by "We" I mean "I".

It has been a fun time here in Hawaii, which is why I titled this post "Fun without Chris Zilly". Actually I didn't, but I would if not for the fact that the post name is already kinda long already.

Oh, fuck it. I'll go ahead and add it to the title.

There, done.

Waikiki

Poor positioning? Perhaps.
lawl
Hilarious? Fuck yes!

While here on this crazy chain of islands in the middle of the ocean, I have seen some strange things. Like beeches. Oh and water. What the fuck is up with all the water? Oh. Also these things.

caution bees!

The most wary of all bees.

Oh and this thing.

your FAP

...yeah.

But oh the beauty of this wonderful place.

I have seen such sights which I will likely never forget.

Such as:
oh, the beauty
and
glorious!

But there are also many humdrum locations on these islands, like this place.
bleh

These areas are all over the place, and are simply quite dull. What a bore.

I have been here for 12 days so far. Or 11. I don't like to count. This means, of course, that I only have 2 days left. Or was that 3? Oh whatever. You already know I hate to count.

There are a lot of brown people here.

So... uhh... seems some tornaders have been having their way with Murfreesboro. Glad I wasn't there. It's times like these that I wish Chris Zilly was still alive. If he was there he would have just stood up to those wind tubes and made them cry themselves away. Hes just that tall. I miss it.

The plane ride here was kinda long. And cramped. And I'm an average sized person. I can imagine that the flight to Japan must have been about the same for Chris Zilly. I mean, sure he probably had first class, but considering how huge he is I think that it was probably about the same scale.

I had probably the most awesome hot dog in the world while here in Hawaii. It's probably more awesome than any other. Not very hot though. Even the hottest. Meh. Delicious.

BioShock is really fucking awesome. Sure, it might be a FPS, but Great Odin's Raven it is awesome.

And not to blow anybody's mind, but Halo 3 is pretty fun. However, my like for that game might be due in no small part to RedVsBlue. Halo Wars also looks pretty much awesome. It is a RTS however and that makes it not so surprising that it might be good.

While in Waikiki I saw a street performer who was collecting money from pretty much everyone who was watching him. I missed the performance, so I had no idea how this wizard was able to coax everyone to give him their hard earned money. I call him a wizard because the only explanation that makes sense is that he cast a magical spell on them. It's science.

I later saw the same performer starting his show. He had a funny voice. It was a comedy show. I didn't get to see the show because a lot of stuff was going on which was delaying the beginning of the show. It seems as though he is funny, however. He uses basket balls for his show.

The Halo 3 XBox360 is readily available here. While I'm not a hard core fan of the series, this XBox model looks fucking amazing and I must have it. I wont have it, however, as I already have an Xbox. Oh well.

There are many loud birds here. Dear fucking lord they are so loud. So many birds. Some of them are funny looking. None of them fear humans.

Oh well. I suppose that is it for now. I will probably be back again soon. Probably sooner than the last time I was back. That was later.

Oh yeah. Also. Click on some of the images to see them. Many of them are too large to fit in to the frame and I am too lazy to fix it right now. Anyway. That's it.

Friday, April 3, 2009

Days 21 - 26

I think that count is right. Maybe not. I'll figure it out later.

My connection here in Hawaii has been a little iffy. It wouldn't be if I would just remember to get the password for the network here, but I have not remembered to do that and have thus had to leech an open wireless network which only has a reliable signal in one room of the house I am staying in. Even then the signal likes to just drop off from time to time.

Oh well.

I've just been hanging out. Haven't been playing Nintendo though, but that's ok. Still playing a lot of tower defense, however. It's pretty much FTW.

I don't have much else to say right now, so I'll leave you with a little Street Fighter. That seems to be a good thing to do.

Sunday, March 29, 2009

Day 20

Holy Fucking Science! The Mercenaries mode of Resident Evil 5 is amazing.

Heading to Alabama tomorrow; Hawaii the next day.

Later~

Saturday, March 28, 2009

Day 19

Can't sleep. That's about it. Going to try anyway.

Friday, March 27, 2009

Day 18

Well, the Mother 3 Handbook arrived today. I'm pretty much stoked. It's definitely FTW.

Handbook

Sorry about the glare on that image. I will probably post some more pics of it later. It's pretty fucking awesome.

Only a couple days left till I leave for Hawaii. Then from there I only have to swim a few inches to get to Japan.

I'LL BE THERE SOON!

So ends the eighteenth day of my life without Chris Zilly.

Thursday, March 26, 2009

Day 17

Today is the day after day sixteen.

Nothing particularly special about the seventeenth day except that it will never occur again.

Well, it might.

Anyway, nothing special to report today.

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

Day 16

The Mother 3 Handbook shipped today. I will probably be gone before it arrives though. Going to have to wait a few more weeks before I get to see it ; ;.

I reached Disc 3 of Lost Odyssey. Dear lord its good. I'm glad that H-Sak is gone from Square. Now maybe he can make good games without them being dragged down by the crap that has been infecting the Final Fantasy series of late. Speaking of Square, or should I say Square-Enix? Is it me or have the just been sucking it up lately? I mean, really sucking it up.

I used to understand the fervor regarding that company, but to be fair to myself that was when it was good. I'm so sick of hearing people give Square credit for titles like Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile and even Dragon Quest. I also love when I see people in forum threads making statements regarding Mistwalker having tough competition to deal with from Square-Enix's Final Fantasy series.

Are they just not aware that the head of Mistwalker is the creator of Final Fantasy?

Have they played Lost Odyssey?

Lost Odyssey is bringing me back to the good old days of RPGing. The thing which I think of the most when I play that game is Final Fantasy VI. This, of course, is a good thing. I loved Final Fantasy VII and VIII, but I feel that Final Fantasy VI was the peak of the series. VII was the game in the collection which set the legendary title on the road to mediocrity. Final Fantasy IX tried to bring it back on track, but it simply was not enough.

Iunno, I guess I'm just ranting at this point.

My point, I suppose, is that Square does not deserve the praise it still receives. The only good franchises from Square -which they are still doing anything with, anyway- are Kingdom Hearts, which is more of a cult thing than anything, and Final Fantasy, which has been on the slide down mediocrity lane for the past several years. Even the sub sets to Final Fantasy have been suffering.

Most of the good games coming out of Square-Enix are from the Enix side of he family. Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile, Dragon Quest and Grandia. Granted that Grandia hasnt had an offering in some time.

One series I suppose I forgot about is Seiken Densetsu. Okay Square. You have three remaining good franchises. Well. Maybe. Lets stop to examine the current situation.

Final Fantasy
-Final Fantasy VII anthology. ...meh

-Final Fantasy remakes. FF1 and FF2 have been remade more times than Christianity. Not only that, the remakes have never really been that awesome. The plain and simple of it is that they just update the 2d graphics a little more with each new release. Sure there are some new dungeons and what not with each new incarnation of the title, but they never seem to carry the previous new content over. How many times do they expect me to buy and play that same game? I've already done it three times.

--Final Fantasy 3 and 4 remakes. Okay... pretty awesome. Ill deal.

-Final Fantasy 1,2,4,5 and 6 are on GBA. I know, I own every one of them. I've played every one of them.

-Final Fantasy 1,2,4,5,6 and even Chrono Trigger are on PlayStation. Those re-releases weren't even that great. They packed in some poorly executed FMV for the FF's and then some beautiful animated scenes for CT. The problem with CT is that the load times made it simply unplayable. I suppose this is the same for FF 5 and 6 also. Final Fantasy 4 was actually rather well done.

-Chrono Trigger
I know I shouldn't complain, but another re-release of Chrono Trigger? Oh hell. Who am I kidding? I fucking love it. Beat it several times. The DS version I mean. Got the new endings, beat the new final boss. Saw the new CT-CC linking content. I just fucking wish S-E would either do something new with the series or sell it to Mistwalker or something.

Oh well. This rant in my life without Chris Zilly is now over. Maybe I'll come back and post and extension to this rant eventually.

TL;DR I'm fucking pissed about ignorant ass people who are content with convincing themselves that the square fraction of Square-Enix is some sort of god of games.

Oh, also.

Day 14

Aha! Caught you thinking I would forget to post today.

Don't try to deny it, I know what you were thinking! You can't hide your thoughts from me.

I hung out with Ryan today. It was kinda fun. It would seem that he has a pretty leet image collection.

I know, I know: Screen shot or it didn't happen. Well, you're just going to have to take my word for it.

Oh, and this screen shot.
1337

Anyway. On to more pressing matters.

Heroes.

Mother of god.

Waiting on the Mother 3 Handbook to ship. Was supposed to ship January. Got pushed back to the middle of March. March is now drawing to a close.

I'm absolutely sure that it will be worth the wait. The issue is that I don't want to wait. UGH!

Headed to Hawaii in a matter of days. I've been working on my endurance swimming for the forthcoming swim from Hawaii to Japan to go hang out with Chris Zilly.

Let's see...

The trip to Hawaii is for two weeks. Seeing as how Japan is only about three inches away from Hawaii according to my map, I should be able to get there in about... oh... lets say four seconds. That gives me damn near two weeks to hang out before I have to make the four second swim back to Hawaii to catch the plane back to the U.S.. It doesn't make much sense to fly all the way out to Hawaii before swimming out to Japan when the distance from California to Japan isn't an unreasonable distance to swim. Its only another few inches. Oh well.

Oh, also. This just in: Hawaii is part of the U.S.!

Who the fuck knew?

Sunday, March 22, 2009

Days 12 and 13

Well shit.

I had planned on playing off my previous example of forgetfulness with that ridiculous excuse that it was the eleventh day anniversary of Chris Zilly's departure for the land of the rising futa. Well... now you know. That was just an excuse. For, truly, there is no eleventh day anniversary.

This, however, is the very real thirteenth anniversary of Chris Zilly's departure for the land of the ascending sun. While its true that I forgot to post on the tenth day, my forgetfulness to post on the twelfth day, I can say for certain that the thirteenth day of Chris Zilly's departure is pretty awesome in general. "Why?", you might ask. Well, that isn't important.

Ryan and I got drunk as fuck on some vodka that is so damn smooth its like drinking water. Granted this water burns ever so slightly on the way down. Srsly tho. This vodka was so damn smooth that I got quite very drunk. I didn't blast vomit all over Ryan's bathroom though. That was kinda nice as I didn't have to drive back over to his place later to clean the wall where my vomit didn't blast.

I'm watching Planet Earth right now. It is pretty awesome. I do not like the part about how the trees are only green for such a short matter OMG PARAKEETS of time before they start to go orange again. I like green trees.

Monleys seem pretty cool on discovery. Ill bet chimpanzees are awesome. Especially when they ride on a segway.

OMG a tiger just fucking owned the shit out of that monkey that was on the ground for too long. Madagascar is a fucking beautiful place. Dear fucking science.

Anyway, I have no fucking idea what I'm typing right now because I am currently more drunk than I was the other day when I was at Ryan's place.

The other day, in this case, means yesterday.

Bye-bye.

Jason.

Days 10 and 11

Today is the eleven day anniversary of the beginning of my life without Chris Zilly. I decided it would be best to wait a day and make this entry extra long. By encompassing the go about and doing things of yesterday and today I will be able to write a post of extra spectacular proportions.

What?

Did you think I just forgot to post yesterday?

Preposterous!

Okay. Now that you've bought my excuse we can get on to the cold hard facts. Those facts being something unknown.

Seriously. I can't just tell you the facts. What fun would that be?

My dog decided it would be a good idea to eat a large chunk of a giant Toblerone yesterday while we were out. While he consumed far short of a lethal dose, I believe that upon being caught in the act he wished he had consumed much, much more.

Clearly out of remorse for his actions, and not because he wanted to eat as much as possible before we apprehended him. Who would think such a thing?

Today I haven't done much. Its only 2pm and change. Maybe I'll do much. Who knows?

Well, that's it for the wonderful eleven day anniversary post. I hope that this double post of the two days which have passed to lead up to this wondrous day has been equally wondrous. Oh and also fantastic.

Yeah!

Both those things.

Be sure to look out for seemingly "missing" posts in the future. It is but an indicator that another great day is looming, and that I am saving my energy for the next post! Yes. That is what it means.

Excellent!

Day 9

Watched the last episode of Heroes that I did not watch the night Chris Zilly left. Remember that this assumes that you are following the rules set forth in Day 1 stating that the new day does not begin until I have gone to sleep. Dear sweet fuck! I must have the new episode now. Is Sylar good or bad? AHHHH I MUST KNOW!

Mario stares at me from his pipe. One must wonder from where he just returned, and why he does not emerge from the pipe. Oh, Mario! Hero of heroes.
IT'S A ME!

I'm pretty much out of money at this point. I can't even ask Chris Zilly to buy me a taco, or to double the beef for 89 cents, because he is in another land, far away.

I need to reinstall Windows XP on my desktop machine dealy so I can run WMP 11 so that I can stream AVI to my EcksBawcks Three Hundred and Sixty.

Lost Odyssey is pretty damn awesome so far. I hear rumor that Mistwalker might be buying the rights to the "Chrono" series from S-E. Oh, H-Sak, what have you got planned?

Anyway. That's it for this day. Pineapple juice is the best. Good evening, Auto-bots.

Day 8

I'm pretty much just waiting for the end of the month at this point.

Day 7

My cable is out right now, so I don't know how I'm posting this. I blame it on Chris Zilly being gone though.

Day 6

Finished Resident Evil 5 online. Fed Chris' dog again. Took photos of stuff and junk and saw that huge bird at the creek again. You know, the one that's been taking children and feeding them to it's parents. It's one of those species of birds which has to take care of its parents when it grows old. It also lives like 50 years or some shit. It makes perfect sense and is definitely not made up.

Who's going to tell me it's fake?

No one, that's who!

Day 3

And my new life, sans Chris Zilly begins to continue. I am currently typing this entry on Ryan's MacBook. It is very similar to my own MacBook except that it is much newer. The only thing this changes is the layout of the F keys and the fact that his keys are not yet worn smooth through constant use. Also there's no apple logo on the command key. Fuck using "command" plus whatever to macro stuff. Apple+A is the only select all for me. Ill never "command"+V when I paste from my clip board.

I'd drunk right now, and struggling to keep my grammar and slepping coorect. I don;t want to make it too bad becase it will make t look intentional so im trying to make it correct.

Ryan is playing Mega Man 9 on Xbox360. He is beating bosses. He just defeated Concrete Man. Itls kind of a big deal. I beat thta game a long time ago. Im sure Chris Zilly remembers because I was at his house and I did it in one sitting and was very grumpy by the time I was on the second to last boss. Ryan just said "Yay Blinkin" regarding "legacy mode" in MM9, which enable sprite blinking reminiscent to old NES MEga Man. It is a clear reference to "Robin Hood: Men in Tights". Awesome.

So anyway, I studied a lot of Japanese today. It's amazing how my progress is much greater without Chris Zilly around. Regardless, I would rather be hanging out at his place because of how damn long I've been doing that thing I just typed. That thing I just typed being hanging out at Chris Zilly's house. Seriously though, I hung out there a LOT.

I stopped by Chris Zilly's house today and fed his dog, Black Jack. He looked hungry. Then again, he always looks hungry. I also took his computer for storage purposes, but it ended up at Ryan's house where he is putting it to good use until he is able to build his own computer. He seems to be enjoying it. I would imagine so, however, as his old machine was a piece of shit.

I beat Star Ocean: The Last Hope yesterday. If Chris was here I would tell him that it is worth playing. Sure the voice overs are fucking ass bad, but the Japanese voice overs probably are awesome. In all actuality, however, only two of the characters have bad voices. It's sad how those two characters were enough to annoy the fuck out of me while I was playing it. Oh well, it was good enough in the end to overcome that. The bonus dungeons are fucking nuts difficult also.

Resident Evil 5 releases here in the States tomorrow. I don't imagine that I will be doing much other than that for some time. It is going to be amazing. I remember back in the day that Chris Zilly was really in to Suikoden. He played the living hell out of the first Suikoden on PS1. He even went so far as to print out a 108 stars guide and get perfect data. I wonder what happened to that. Oh well, I suppose once you have played one you have played them all. Phillip Cooper, a friend of mine and of Chris Zilly played it also. It was the second RPG he played after Chrono Trigger. That was good times. I still love the series though. Tierkreis comes out soon for DS. Can't wait.

Double cross the vacant and the bored. They're not sure just what we have in store.

So anyway, that's all I can remember about my day so far in my new life without Chris Zilly.

This is Jason Leiby.

GOOD DAY!

R.I.P. Paul Harvey.

Day 2

It has been 2 days since Chris Zilly has left for Japan. Remember that this is according to the ground rules we laid out on day one stating that the day does not change until I go to sleep. Today was just about as uninteresting as yesterday. I woke up and played a little more Star Ocean, and then studied Japanese for a bit. Everybody here is so damn loud, which I don't particularly enjoy. One more reason why I so enjoyed hanging out at Chris Zilly's place all the time.

One nice thing about my life without Chris Zilly is that I got a free secondary monitor. I suppose it hardly matters as I rarely use the computer which the other monitor is attached to. Regardless of that though, I can easily say that two monitors is better than one. For instance, now I can watch two videos on red tu-- YOU tube at once. That's pretty awesome, isn't it?

Well?

I'm asking you a question.

Day 1

Today is the first day without Chris Zilly. Well, I suppose tomorrow would be, considering I was hanging out with him until something like 3 am., which is today, but were going to say that doesn't count for the sake of simplicity. So, I went home yesterday, which was also today and went to sleep after hanging out and helping Chris get ready to leave.

Look, were just going to say that it isn't tomorrow until I go to sleep. So it is now officially yesterday when he left, because when I woke up it was officially a new day.

Anyway. I woke up and was like "Okay, what to do?" and then I started playing Star Ocean: The Last Hope. I did that pretty much all day. Oh, I also ate a sandwich. I played that for a while. I think I'm near the end. I later went shopping for a new monitor with Ryan and then played Shipwreckers! at his place and am now typing this blog entry about my life without Chris Zilly while watching him crash a copter in to the bay in GTA4 on Xbox360. It's pretty awesome.

I don't really have much else to say about anything right now, but I'm sure I'll have more to say later on perhaps. Anyway, that is what has happened so far in the first day of my life without Chris Zilly.

And so it begins

For some 20 years or so I have lived down the street from the tallest friend I have. I pretty much spent all of my time over at his place hanging out. Like seriously. I was over there all the damn time. No joke. Now, however, that is not a possibility, probably. I suppose I could keep going over there, but he wont be there. Might be kinda weird.

You see, the reason I can no longer hang out at his place all the time is that he has changed the channel to Japan. Wait! I mean he moved to Japan. This is troublesome for me as I now have nothing to do all day except other things. I have no idea what other things are, but I hope to find out as time passes. I must find out what these other things are, for if I do not then I will have nothing at all to do for a very long time.

And so begins my life without Chris Zilly.
